A week ago MashUp Crew members Danny Scrilla and MarflixOne launched their new live-producing project Tropicality in Hamburg. Tropicality means live mixing all musical influences like Soca / Caribbean, Kuduro, Baile Funk, Dubstep, Gypsy etc to a new thing. Like Jazz it is 100% improvisation.
Here’s a little mix by Marflix for the popular TTT podcast – have fun:
While agent Turbo is on a secret mission with agent Scrilla, Marflix (from the soca label Faluma / MashUp Crew) takes the opportunity to leave Ahgwaanistan and bless the TTT hipster crowd with pure madness. Fresh tunes from the heat of the Caribbean: nuff Soca, Bass and Carnival vibes here, spiced with Dubstep,
Merengue, House, yellow peppa sauce and a bottle of Fernandez Black Label Rum.
Tim Turbo Thursday is a weekly DJ mix podcast hosted and curated by Tim Turbo. He selects and performs and invites handpicked guests on a regular basis.
I just stumbled across this “turn me on” remix DJ Beware posted on twitter. Motorpitch & Beware got together and produced this House/Soca hybrid featuring a completely chopped up kevin lyttle vocal performance. Enjoy!
Diplo dropped the first track of the Major Lazer track called “Hold The Line“. He is not only giving the tune out for free but additionally the acapella and the instrumental. So all of you remix cats out there…get to work! Busy as a bee, MashupCrew’sDanny Scrilla already finished his track…
A new episode of the Tim Turbo Thursday a weekly podcast dedicated to new bassy-bubbly tunes across genres.
